Hello everyone! Happy September! How awesome is it that it is finally Spring - hopefully that means more sunshine and more craft time!
Welcome to the INKreator's September Blog Hop! You may have come to me from the gorgeous Rochelle's Blog - The Stamping Blok - how talented is she and how awesome were her creations using All Ye Faithful? This month we are showcasing our favourite products from the Holiday Catalogue - which is launching today! How exciting! Make sure that you head over to my online store to check out the catalogue and pick up some incredible Holiday products. You can get an early start on all your Christmas crafting.
It was so hard to choose my favourite products from the Holiday Catalogue, but I finally narrowed it down and went with the Jingle All The Way Stamp Set and the coordinating Sleigh Ride Edgelits Dies. I have made five cards to showcase the different ways that you can use this stamp set and dies.
The first card I made uses two of the edgeless to create a mountain scape.
I layered the sleighs and the trees and then mounted them on a piece of Whisper White card stock that I embossed using my new favourite embossing folder ever 'Softly Falling'.
I also used the 'merry everything' sentiment from Jingle All The Way.
It's also nice to use non-traditional Christmas colours - I went with Night of Navy and Pool Party - I love this colour combo!
I kept with the Night of Navy theme for my next card.
To create the night sky look I clear embossed the stars from the Jingle All The Way stamp set on watercolour paper.
Using the Aquapainter I created a sky effect using 'Night of Navy' ink and finished it off with the 'Silent Night' sentiment.
I created the next two cards to demonstrate how you can use the positive and negative part of the die cut image.
I used the awesome 'Shimmery White' card stock to create a subtle glitter look and the 'Home for Christmas' sentiment to coordinate with the Christmas village edgelits. I finished them off the awesome new striped ribbon from the Holiday Catalogue in both Garden Green and Real Red.
Finally, I wanted to show how you can use the Jingle All the Way stamp set and the Sleigh Ride edgelits in your Project Life spread.
I cut out the Christmas trees on vellum to layer over the Christmas Day photo and I gold embossed the sentiment. I mounted the photo on Gold Glimmer paper. To embellish the photo I added two gold foil stars that I punched using the Itty Bitty punch and then used some of the gold cord that is in the new Holiday Catalogue. I love how this turned out!
So there you have my creations - next up you are heading over to the lovely Michelle's blog - who is using the Oh What Fun tag kit and coordinating stamps.
