Happy Saturday! I hope that you are all having a wonderful weekend! Today I am so excited to be part of the INKreator Blog Hop!
The INKreator's are the Stampin' Up! team that I am a part of - our upline is the gorgeous Liv (who is also my BFF) from INKreations and her upline is the amazing Michelle from ThINK Out Loud. You may have come to me from Rochelle's page - if so I am sure you loved all of the great things that she created!
I love being a part of the Stampin' Up! family and the INKreator's team and I am so excited that every month members of the team will be bringing you a blog hop - showcasing the latest and greatest Stampin' Up! products.
Today we are all using the beautiful Pretty Petals Designer Series Paper Stack (which is a convenient and affordable 6x6 paper stack) and from the sneak peaks that I have seen from the others, we have all used this paper in so many different ways! This paper wouldn't normally be the first thing I would be attracted to but once I started creating I have to say I loved it!
I made three cards using this paper and the first card is a birthday card - I also think that even though this stamp set has a lot of flowers, I think many of the papers are suitable for male cards too - making it a very versatile paper set. I used Mint Macaron card stock as the base, topped with a layer of Very Vanilla. I then used the hexagon print pattern, with a strip of the striped reverse side along the bottom. I topped that off with three sequins from the Metallics Sequin Assortment. For the sentiment I stamped Happy using the Layered Letters Stamp Set and raised it using Stampin' Dimensionals to make it pop off the page.
Layered Letters is a two-step stamp set - where you stamp the squares and then the letters on top. I have to say this is my favourite stamp set from the catalogue and if anyone asked what set is a must-have this is it! I also used the 'birthday wishes' stamp from the Build a Birthday stamp set to finish off the sentiment.
My next card I created a Thank You card using the Watercolour Thank-You stamp - I mounted both the sentiment and the patterned paper on Basic Black card stock and used Pacific Point as the base.
I love how the patterned paper frames the sentiment. To top off the card I added three Pacific Point candy dots (from the Brights pack).
For my final card I created a square card using a Basic Black base. I then added Calypso Coral borders on both the patterned paper (how cute are the butterflies!) and where I stamped the sentiment. For the sentiment I used the Congrats stamp from the Bravo stamp set.
I added a ruffle of the Mint Macaron Dotted Lace Trim. To created the ruffled affect I stuck the ribbon concertina style with tape on the card stock. I love how this card turned out!
