Happy Friday! It's almost the weekend! Yay! I hope that you have all got something really fun planned. The football (soccer) season has started again, so we will be going to see our team, Melbourne City, play in the A League! If you are interested in knowing more about the A League and Melbourne City you should head over and visit my husband Ash's blog - The Big Heart.
I love kit clubs and besides from Scrappy Canary, I also sub to Studio Calico but lately the kits have been gathering dust on the shelf, so I pulled them out and got to work.
This layout is using the Penny Arcade kit - this kit was a bit of a challenge for me to work with. The colours and some of the embellishments weren't exactly my style but sometimes it's fun to challenge yourself! This layout makes me smile - it was too fun!
To tie the layout together I inked the edges of the 4x6 cards (I used some from the kit also a piece of card stock and some Studio Calico grid cards). Once I had done that I then scattered the embellishments from the kit across the layout. I also used the stamps (and then the leftovers on an insert of our friends' wedding).
I used the Poet Society kit for Week 39 - a week full of cute! Cute kids, cute puppies and cute husbands! This kit was fun to work with - I loved the stars, the veneer and the puffy stickers!!!!! Those stickers!!!!!!!!!!!! I need a lot of exclamation marks to highlight how much I loved them.
Sandlot was the kit I used for Week 40 - it was a great kit to work with - the only thing that I added to the mix were some Studio Calico printable labels so that I could document what happened. How cute is that little birthday lady bug!
So there you have it - a quick wrap of three weeks, using three different Studio Calico kits. Anyway, enjoy the weekend! L xx
